UK Ipad launch delayed until late May
APPLE has announced that the UK launch of its latest portable device, the Ipad, has been delayed for a month.
The device which apparently has sold over 500,000 units in the United States since its launch on 3 April was expected on these shores by late April. However the UK Apple website was updated a few minutes ago to announce that the device will now be available in "late May".
Jobs' Mob was clearly not sure whether their latest overpriced toy would be a goer, blaming the delay on the healthy sales figures stating that demand was "surprisingly strong" and "far higher than we predicted".
The delay could be down to a number of hardware factors. Recently the fruit themed toymaker had to enlist the help of Samsung, as its primary supplier of touchscreens, LG Electronics, wasn't able to meet demand for the cut down tablet device. Reports of the device being unable to attain and sustain WiFi reception have also surfaced.
The firm also stated that it will announce pricing and be start taking pre-orders for the device from 10 May.
Those who want to get their hands on the device will either continue to have them shipped over from the States, hunt around on auction sites or just be patient. µ

Nope, wasn't me. I see you're just making stuff up now. Tell me, are those ones in the stores the 3G versions that have been pre-ordered, the ones currently being manufactured? No, and that's the issue that Apple have raised.
You know, it doesn't have to be hate or love with tech, I know it's hard for, let me borrow a charming phrase from you, 'tards' like you to get your heads around. I love all tech, I have a Portege M700 convertible tablet that I love but I'll get an iPad to load up with PDFs for reference and reading on the go. What gets on my tits though is ignorant, unbalanced reporting.
Companies like Apple, MS etc can't lie about their sales figures as it's a serious offence leaving the board open to legal action.

this particular article says delay in the UK because of the great demand, not sure where you live but here in the US you can walk into any store that carries the iPhad and pick up a dozen. its all marketing hype to manipulate the iSheep into believing that you better run out and get one right away or you'll never get one.
Given that this Latif character is probably just a Nick Fail sock puppet I wouldn't hold out too much hope on that front. I doubt he exists.

sounds to me all the numbers to be fictitious, apples cooking the numbers, this article makes it sound like the demand is so high they cant send any overseas, but yet i can walk into any store in my area and they MANY available for purchase, and never even sold out once.
numbers arent even counting, the returns from OVERHEATING along with WI-FI connectivity issues
