SKY HAS ANNOUNCED that its online TV service is being included in Cello's Iviewer TVs and 3View set-top boxes.

UK TV maker Cello launched its Iviewer TV range late last year, which provides access to the usual broadcast TV channels as well as various online video services such as the BBC Iplayer and Youtube.

Similarly 3View offers several personal video recorders which combine access to Internet video services with DTT broadcasts.

Sky Player will be available as a pay TV option on both platforms, as it already is on PCs, Macs, Windows Media Centre, XBox 360s and Fetch TV.

Regular customers will be able to access Sky Player content as part of their subscription, while those not signed up to the satellite service will be to select from a choice of TV packages via monthly subscription.

On a related note, Technicolor has announced that it will be the driving force behind the upcoming launch of movie rental outfit Lovefilm's streaming service, which is due to land soon on Samsung's Internet@TV and for Sony's Bravia TV interfaces. µ

Multiroom

Will all regular subscribers get access, or just those with multiroom? From what I've seen on the PC, you need multiroom to get it to work, which is an extra tenner a month. When I'm only paying for the basic package, that's a lot more for very occasional access.
