3M HAS RELEASED a project projector that can display most common kinds of documents without the need for connecting a pass-through device.
The MPro150 measures 60mm x 130mm x 24mm and weighs 160g including a battery that provides about two hours of use. It has a throw of 50 inches and uses an LED light source with a native resolution of 640x480 but can support display of up to 1280x800.
As well as being able to take the usual VGA, composite and component video inputs, the device has 1GB of internal storage plus a microSD card slot and can access a range of common file types and display the contents directly.
"It's an easy way to manage all your files and, because it's cordless, there's no need to pack a separate laptop or projector so business professionals can travel a lot lighter. It's also great for use at home and on-the-go," explained Nick Hughes, marketing manager for the Mobile Interactive Solutions Division at 3M.
The projector can handle doc, ppt, xls, txt, pdf, bmp, jpg, mp4, pal, ntsc, h.264, amr, aac and mp3 files.
It even includes a pair of 0.5W speakers and there is also a 3.5mm audio output jack for connecting headphones or external speakers if required.
The 3M MPro150 is available from 3M's online store and several online and high street retailers for around £350. µ
