A QUARTER of the German population would be jolly happy if their government implanted them with RFI data chips, according to a survey.
Okay, the survey is not exactly from the most reliable source. It was done by an outfit that makes the chips that apparently some Germans want to be injected with, but it does give some indication that the Germans seem to trust their government and their privacy is something that they regard as valued by other nations.
According to PopSci, one in four Germans is enthusiastic about the idea of having a government (and commercially) readable radio frequency responsive chip implanted in their bodies.
True they did say that there had to be tangible benefits involved, but those surveyed said they would do it if it made their shopping experience more enjoyable, apparently proving that some Germans consider themselves consumers first, subjects of the German state second and free citizens of the European polity somewhere down the list.
The poll said that 16 per cent said they would do it if it would help emergency services respond to them more quickly and effectively in case of an accident.
Another five per cent would do it if purchasing goods was made easier by simply carrying them past RFI sensors on the way out of the shops.
The rest of the world is not happy about such RFI tagging of individual human beings, however. Some for privacy reasons but others because they believe that the Anti-Christ will force them to use it for all of their transactions. Similar objections have been raised for credit cards and bar codes. Which the Germans also have no problems with.
However the survey did indicate that it was not all plain sailing for implantable RFI chips in the German Fatherland. More than 72 per cent of apparently sentient and freedom conscious Germans who were polled said "absolutely not" to implanted electronics.
A result which we applaud. µ
They already got sec cams, any gov agency can have access to ALL your ISP logs, they can track your cell phone, they can sniff in your land line... Geez... do you guys REALLY belive a rfid chip will cut your privacy any bit shorter?
WAKE UP NEO, there is no spoon, and that spoon's name is privacy.
i do not believe in statistics at all
they are used by rogue governments to pass unpopular laws and restrict the liberty of citizens
basically, a vessel for bullshit coming out of the mouths of bullshitters
There are some rumblings about RFID microchips being linked to cancer in mice and dogs. I hope somebody checks that one out thoroughly before they are implanted in people.
Hello, I am a portuguese living in Germany and I never heard such a crap! Are you crazy!!!! Germans do like their privacy. That´s totally the oposite!! Someone wants to sell you c...
Yes, we asked 50 people, and thus that represents every other person in the country (50-60mil?) even...the CHILDREN...think of the children. Surveys are an excuse for some twat to have a job...same as judges and lawyers...and marketing men..and.. ref. Bill Hicks
Ohh spooky - Hell is coming... Soon lol. A chip? Thas what the Germans can come up? How about bioscans and that's it? No? Hey DNA scans could be done to identify a person too you know. Or maybe is better to let them do whatever they want. But still I'm very sure that a chip under the skin will not be the future. Too much controversy on that. Anyways this is very old news and yes, it will happen eventually but I don’t think that a chip will be employed for this. Is gona be something more fancy and nothing will be implanted on you.
would you trust your government to use implanted chip technology in a responsible way?
i know our government is self serving so its an emphatic NO! from me
Where 100% want to be implanted with chips... orally.
Seems a pretty definite sentiment given that lure of alleged advantages skewed the poll.
