AT TOSHIBA'S PREVIEW of upcoming products for the year it announced its first multi-touch screen laptop, captured on video by the INQUIRER.

The Satellite U500 is the company's first portable computer with multi-touch technology in its 13.3-inch screen, demoed in the video below. This is its first touchscreen computer in a number of years, with the previous ones having been only single touch, which cannot be operated in the same way as the smartphone put out by the fruit-themed toy company. It comes with Widows 7 64-bit Home Premium, running on an Intel Core i3-330 CPU, which is priced at £649 plus VAT. If you have ever wanted to pinch and zoom on a Toshiba notebook, here's your chance. µ
