Apple starts shipping its Imacs again

Still insists they are not broken
Wed Feb 10 2010, 10:54

IT APPEARS THAT Apple has started shipping its flagship 27-inch Imac computers again.

Production lines are again churning out the expensive machines and Apple has started to tell people who ordered them that they should be arriving sometime soon.

One user who ordered a 27-inch Imac on January 29th has received his shipping email, letting him know that the unit was scheduled to be shipped on February 9th.

Apple has denied that there was ever anything wrong with the pricey kit, despite complaints of cracking, dodgy graphics, flickering screens and casings changing colour.

Jobs' Mob has dealt with the situation by denying everything while at the same time running around behind the scenes trying to see if it can avoid a product recall. Reports from the Far East indicated that the production line was stopped while Apple tried to come up with fixes, and two firmware releases attempted to resolve graphics issues with mixed success.

Only time will tell if Apple has actually managed to resolve any of the problems. µ

At least Toyota do recalls and fix it when it's broken.

Apple - famous for being expensive and smug.

Do you get a discount on an electric hybrid car if you have an Apple, they seem to go together.

Real men use Windows, men who use moisturiser use Apples.

Must of been me

Yes I am sure that the people calling me at home to try to sell me extended warranty and wanted my credit card number just to fix that pathetic mouse and all the ads in itunes and other software trying to get me to buy there music and that the one year warranty is really a 3 month warranty, past that I HAVE TO PAY TO TELL THEM WHATS NOT WORKING or take it 125 miles to the closest mac store so they can fix it.I bought a Imac to get away from Vista, and frankly Apple was even more annoying. But I guess that was all just voices in my head.I guess there new 27 inch imacs don't have yellow in the screen as was my neighbors, that must have just been my eyes.

Build your own

There is nothing special about macs anymore. Except for no bios and a much more limited hardware base, the cpu memory and most other hardware are all the same. I bought an Imac once and was tired of Apple hounding me to always spend more money. They do use some propitiatory cables so you have to pay apple for a HDMI cable for example and there not cheap. If you build your own you get exactly what you want. Its not legal but I don't have any respect for companys that flat out lie.

...Which does not break just after the years warranty, it makes an excellent excuse to go back to the Chruch of apple and buy some more white goods.
