A FLORIDA BLOKE has admitted hacking into corporate computer networks as part of the largest credit card theft in US history.
Albert Gonzalez of Miami pleaded guilty in US District Court in Boston to two counts of conspiracy to gain unauthorised access to payment card networks.
According to AFP, Gonzalez and two unidentified Russian co-conspirators stole over 130 million credit and debit card numbers from more than 250 financial institutions.
Gonzalez also allegedly leased servers to other cyber-criminals who used the systems to store malware and launch attacks against their victims. He has already admitted to charges in two other hacking cases.
Reportedly facing between 17 and 25 years' porridge for his role in the crimes, Gonzales is probably just lucky he was not looking for UFOs or mentally ill. Then US authorities would really throw the book at him. µ
Yeah!
Why can't he admit to taking bribes from bankers like John McCain and then testify against his friends to avoid going to prison?
Then he could run for president.
Or why not cheat the laid off pregnant wife of a multi-term US serviceman out of their house.
Then he could be chairman of the Fed.
The list goes on.
For defrauding that many people, he should spend the rest of his life in the iron bar hotel.
I understand that Gary and Albert will have ajorning rooms at the iron bar hotel for the next 20+ years. Sounds good to me. Phuck around and go to prison.
