SOFTWARE OUTFIT Lunascape has released the next version of its Orion web browser, which adds triple add-on support.

Today the firm said that users will be able to quickly switch between three rendering engines - Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Firefox's Gecko, and Webkit, which sits under both Chrome and Safari - when using Orion 6. The company also promised that the wealth of add-ons pitched at these main players will also work on its browser.

Lunascape said that the triple engine display would be useful for the developer community, adding, "A web page can now be viewed in 3 different rendering engines side-by-side for easy comparison, particularly beneficial to web designers and developers."

Orion 6 runs on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003 and is compatible with Windows 7. In a statement the firm said that even when running add-ons designed for other applications, it performed well, even launching faster than Firefox when running the same range of installed applications. µ

Great Browser

To the 2 trolls. Nifty piece of software. Their IE engine is almost flawless. Didn't try the other two tough. Work perfectly with my citrix metaframe apps. Fisrt browser (non-IE) i see doing that.

I was a happy camper today at at work and now installing at home. Very fast.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
