Spaceship 2 is rolled out
DESPITE STORMY WEATHER, Sir Richard Branson's Spaceship 2 was shown off yesterday at Mojave Spaceport.
More than 800 press, future astronauts, California's Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger and VIP guests gathered in the desert for a press conference and to view the roll out of the world's first commercial spaceplane.
Branson named the spaceship VSS Enterprise despite the fact that the ship was never mentioned in any episode of the Startrek TV series.
The ship was carried down the runway by its mothership, VMS Eve, to a display of lights, music and snow.
If it was a Virgin train it would not have moved and would probably have had a broken heater so it looks like Branson has finally got something right. The plane looks jolly nice.

No detail about which insurance company will cover their asses in case of pb and much much this will cost...

As noted earlier, Burt Rutan, a legendary aircraft and spaceship designer, is the key person behind this effort. Branson just provides the money. If he hadn't, someone else would have.
But in any case, this is a major step forward for mankind. Finally, a non-governmental step into space!
NASA is doomed, I'm tellin' ya, doomed!
Branson just provides the cash. These vehicles are all designed by the visionary Burt Rutan, so all credit should go to him. I think he deserves to be mentioned in this article.
