COMPETITION does wonderful things, apparently. O2, which has been sitting secure with its exclusive Iphone contract in the UK, has started to think about what will happen after Orange starts offering the Jesus phone too.
Today it announced the Iphone Total Connectivity Bolt On, which allows new and existing Iphone customers to purchase the Iphone Internet Tethering bolt-on and receive the standard O2 Home Broadband package free.
Those Iphone users who pay monthly and buy the discounted £9.79 per month 3GB Internet Tethering Bolt On before 31 December 2009 will be entitled to the O2 Home Broadband standard package for free too.
The 3GB Internet Tethering and O2 Home Broadband package will be compatible with all versions of the Apple Iphone 3G. Alternatively, customers can claim a £7.34 per month discount against any other O2 Home Broadband product including Premium, Pro or O2 Home Broadband Access.
We doubt that O2 would have thought up these bargains if Orange had not also gotten an Iphone contract. µ
Its to late to butter up me as i was promised some thing by 02 but never got so i will wait for vodafone then try switch over as o2 make to many promises and there shops lie to sell phones
I for one am glad that o2 lost exclusivity. o2 were so unhelpful and customer unfriendly towards me and my iPhone that as soon as the contract is over Im outta here. By then I hope Vodafone will have it.
So, what happens if you're not in an O2 BB-enabled area? Does the deal give you free O2 Home Broadband Access package? If so its worth having, if not, its all rather "meh" to me!
