Fujitsu, Acer and MSI go for all-in-one computers

From Quanta

IT LOOKS LIKE Fujitsu, Acer and MSI are set to release a raft of all-in-one computers.

The companies' main supplier Quanta said that it has been flogging the machines to the three outfits and they will start shipping products soon.

According to Digitimes, Quanta will ship around two million all-in-one PCs, including touchscreen models, in 2009.

Touchscreen all-in-one PC shipments in the fourth quarter will reach around 300,000 units per month, it thinks.

The all-in-one systems are based around Pixart Imaging's optical touchscreen technology and will be arriving in 20-inch to 23-inch models. This size range apparently gives the best size to profit ratio.

The maker of expensive printer ink, HP is also an all-in-one PC client of Quanta. It reportedly will start shipping its version in October. µ
