TAIWAN-BASED MEMORY packaging and testing outfit, Walton has said "goodnight John boy" to the recession.

It said that it expects its monthly revenues to grow sequentially through November.

Walton, which is a backend supplier of DRAM, has seen increased demand from customers since July, according to DigiTimes.

In a statement Walton said that its revenues hit a high for the year in August.

It has seen year-on-year growth improving to negative 1.3 per cent compared to double-digit drops from July 2008 through July 2009, the company said.

DRAM is important to Walton as it accounts for 95 per cent of the outfit's total revenues, whilst the remaining five per cent comes from its backend services for NOR flash.

Walton's major DRAM customers are Elpida Memory, Nanya Technology and Winbond Electronics, so if it is doing well they must also be doing nicely thank-you.

Still, the company hasn't made a loss in the recession anyway, which is more than can be said for its customers. µ
