Microsoft fesses up on "less good" Vista

Corporate strategy head comes clean
Thursday, 17 September 2009, 17:48

A SENIOR MICROSOFT EXECUTIVE has branded Vista a "less good product" than what is normally to be expected from the Redmond firm.

So did he go as far as admitting what the rest of the world has known for some time: that it's a bloated, slow, underwhelming operating system that has failed to supplant XP in most companies?

You can find out by reading the whole article here or visiting the IT Sneak blog at the Inquirer's sister site V3. µ

Is this an article, or an ad for 'the sister site'?

@Drashek

I 2nd that. I don't understand how this site tolerates this dribble spam coming from a brainless baboon who has learned to cut & paste

"less good" not quite correct...

Considering that attempt at language, Microsoft should have described Vista, as "Double Plus UnGood"...

Harkening back to the Redmond innards, and how it dials home, attaches Adobe Type Tracking Cookies, possessing a full range of never to be patched 'enhancements'....

'Double Plus UnGood" is NewSpeak enough for the problems...

I loved leaving Microsoft, for the world of Linux. It is not without its problems.. but is without the NewSpeak.

Wow!

A Drashek comment has actually been removed! First time I've actually seen one go! Now drop a cookie on his browser so you can spot him next time!

Anyway, back to the subject... I wonder if this guy will finally come clean and confess that ME was a wobbly pile of doggy do too!

Oh, and that Ballmer is really an alien who drinks too much mountain dew.

get it right...

i think when they say, "less good product" they actually mean "a steaming pile of turd"

this corporate jargon can be a bit confusing at times!

Pressure

This lighting strike of lucidity from Microsoft's Senior was probably due to two things: 1- The enormous consumer and corporate pressure, probably on forums, phone support, etc... 2- The ad pressure that Apple institute with MAC versus Vista (Not PC, but Vista).

I doubt that Apple will take a bigger swing at Windows 7. They will release more ads crashing Vista before Win 7 get out (Already there...).

Darn

I missed the Drashek comment, can it be reposted please!

Although a DDoS on Drashek would be rather hilarious. You blackhats know who you are.

@RockYourAzz

I know... Which is why I sent a couple of anonymous emails...

Nobody called S Ballmer will be getting on an airline anytime soon!

Actually, he might cool down over this side of the pond, once he's detoxed off the dew.

DRASHEK RULEZ!!!11one1

GO DRASHEK!! Go ahead and try to DDoS Drashek! He won't be affected because he has an SSD RAID0 array for memory, his processor is a Larrabee chip with 64 x86 cores and uses SATA 6Gbps to connect his DDR3!! Or so that's what I understood from his comments...
