KOREAN ELECTRONICS GIANT LG has announced that it will release an Android mobile phone by Christmas.
The LG Etna KS360, which has been dubbed with the catchy title "LG GW620", is the first LG mobile phone to employ Google's open sauce operating system.
Details about the phone were leaked onto the world wide wibble after it was spotted at an industry expo in Germany.
The South Korean firm has officially announced the phone and said that the rebranded handset will go on sale in 'selected European markets' sometime during the fourth quarter.
Apparently it comes with a five megapixel camera, a touchscreen user interface and something called "advanced social networking functions", which is probably a double oxymoron.
Android has been doing well in the mobile handset market over the last ten months and LG has been a bit slow off the mark with it.
The T-Mobile G1 and the HTC Magic have both sold over a million units each worldwide, despite the heavy marketing behind the exploding Iphone 3GS and the Bono-friendly Palm Pre. µ
doesn't matter what sauce is in it, ketchup, mushroom etc, its LG, this phone will be pooh! I've not owned one LG product that was as good as advertised or lasted an acceptable amount of time.
Unfortunately my boss recently bought new phones for us, which are rubbish, slow, dropping bluetooth, rubbish battery life, car charge broke the first day on one, and a week later on another, Pc suite is flawed, OS is a muddle.
When I reminded him that LG was once Goldstar he realized he had a big hole in his foot from a misdirected gun shot.
Open Sauce is when Surgeon enters thru right ear, Cracks main plates open & swishes around parts seeking those pesky cancers. its Open, yet is it good?

Nice! One step closer to my dream of iSoup. Where you buy one tin of soup for £100-200, then download new flavours for it.
Admittedly, sauces, condiments and ice-cream were in phase two of my plan, but hey-ho.
First time I've heard of Open Sauce software being used. You are clearly not into IT?
Open Sauce - Yummy !
I presume open sauce is whatever flavour of sauce you want...?
What is the different between open sauce and not open sauce?
:-)
I look forward to being able to world wide wibble with this phone.
They do seem to come out with some memorable names for these products.
What kind of sauce will be used?
When will these companies realise we want a D-Pad for playing games. I won't be purchasing this.
