MICROSOFT HAS REVEALED that the next generation of Windows Mobile powered cellphones will be unleashed on 6th October.
The Volish handsets will run Windows Mobile version 6.5 and Microsoft claims they will offer punters an easier user interface and better web browsing capabilities.
"A Windows phone gives people a single phone that works for their whole life, keeping them connected to the people and information they care most about by harnessing the power of the PC, phone and Web," said Todd Peters, corporate vice president of mobile communications marketing at Microsoft.
If you almost like what Microsoft has done then you will still have the option to further tweak and customise the way the device works, while add-on applications will be made available through Microsoft's App Store.
Also included is a mobile version of Office - which means, oh joy, that you'll be able to take your work with you everywhere you go - and Windows Live presence and messaging tools, so you can also keep in constant touch with your friends during your every waking hour too.
Already a number of telecoms and partners have lined up to pledge their support, while probably still waiting in vain for an 'Iphone killer', and these include Orange, Vodafone, AT&T and Deutsche Telekom. µ

Who even cares about windows mobile anymore, there are four far better platforms which you would have to be ignorant not to know about.
I am sorry to say, but if you don't have a blackberry or iphone or palm pre or symbian based operating system on ur pda, then u are a loser
But in the business world there was never a Blackberry killer. The iPhone is more of an iJoke when it comes to business.

Since O2 doesn't give a flying..... about its customers, they will not pass along this update, just like they didn't pass the security package update that was released in February for WinMo's stating that they did not receive it from Microsoft. Truth is, they don't want to customize another ROM with their crap as it would cost too much money so they let their customers walk around with insecure handsets.
Ow, and updating the ROM yourself invalidates the warranty.
Thank you O2.
....do I laugh now or laugh once I see its specifications?
