INQ MOBILE'S social networking 'Twitter' phones are set to expand their horizons beyond their parent company's network and arrive on other networks within the UK.

At a recent meeting with INQ Mobile, the Inquirer (no relation) was told that the Three network will not be the only one to stock the new phones announced today.

INQ Mobile is in talks with two other leading UK networks to offer its INQ Mini and INQ Chat handsets, with definite plans for one of those to start selling the devices early next year.

This marks a departure from INQ Mobile's previous form where its original social notworking 'Facebook' INQ1 phones were only available on Three, its parent company's cellular network.

Other regions where INQ Mobile is aiming to sell it handsets are in India, South East Asia and Spain, where the handsets' lower prices makes sense and, in some cases, could help spur the growth of 3G networks.

The company also sees North America as a potential market, where our cousins across the pond could very well be seeing the handsets next year. µ

quite like my Inq phone

Though I'd like it better ,
1. if it didn't reset so often.
2. if it wasn't (sometimes) quite slow in the previous calls dialogue so often you end up ringing the wrong number.
3. if emailon3 actually logged in properly , instead of emailing me with 'tips for logging on'

shame its another 12months before my next upgrade :).
