AT THE TOSHIBA TG01 launch event we were given an exclusive walk-through of the mobile phone based on the Qualcomm Snap Dragon 1Ghz chipset running on Windows 6.1 mobile OS with a customised UI.

Walking the INQ through this handset that has just arrived on the Orange network is Hiroyuki Goto, Technical Director of Toshiba Mobile Communications Division in Europe.

Its really Smart !!!

The Toshiba TG01 is the mid-second quarter is expected in the shops. The device will also come to the Netherlands, but will only be available through specialist retailers. good phone.

It's Interesting that the Toshiba TG01 only has two buttons on the front - the home and the back buttons - and they look capacitative at that. The dial and hang-up buttons are implemented within the soft key area which is new in a WM device.

Windows Mobile

It's good to see Windows Mobile has moved on from awkward little controls that need precision targeting with your nail... /sarcasm

I know it's cool to bash the iPhone around here but I've had 4 Pocket PC/Windows Mobile devices and I've really not looked back (aside from the multi-tasking).
