WHILE SONY-ERICSSON is keeping details of its Google Android based mobile phone under wraps, the Danish site Mobile has run snaps of what it looks like.
Unfortunately named after one of my ex's, Rachael is supposed to be in the shops next year. The phone will be part of SE's XPERIA series, which so far includes the Windows Mobile-based X1 model.
We have been expecting Sony-Ericsson to be proactive and open saucy since it joined the Open Handset Alliance in December. However the outfit has not told anyone what its plans are.
Mobil says that the Android-loving SE Rachel is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform (QSD8250), which would give the phone processor speeds of up to 1GHz and 7.2Mbit per second HSPA downlink speeds.
The beast will have an 8.1-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, eat your heart out Iphone users. At the top of the phone a 3.5mm headphone jack and a miniUSB port are also present. Mobile says it has a pressure-sensitive touchscreen.
It is possible that Rachael will run on the upcoming 2.0 version of Google Android operating system, which is also expected to be released toward the end of this year. It is anyone's guess if it will run Flash. µ
Windows Mobile OS is too pricey and too much dollar into M$ pocket. So it is logical they seek another 'cheap' but capable OS for their Cell-Phone
Flash 9 and 10 is already available with certain unofficial builds for the G1, and is stock in the HTC Hero and magic. Android has already got flash!
Unfortunately named after one of your ex's what? Ohhhh...you mean't one of your exes, whose name was Rachael. Silly me, reading in English.
Can't wait for Android 2.0 with 800x480 4" screens like this one.

I love my iPhone, because when I am out of network range I can't use the GPS.
I love it when that happens, it helps me get back to nature and I enjoy wandering around the bush for days on end. I also love the feature where it won't work over 35C, it reminds me to go and find some shade and to have a good rest from all the searching for a signal to get the GPS going..
