Startups don't want money

Intel can't find takers
Wednesday, 24 June 2009, 13:19

DESPITE THE CURRENT economic woes - or rather, perhaps, because of them - startup companies have been reluctant lately to take cash from Chipzilla's venture capital arm.

Talking to the Deal magazine, Arvind Sodhani, who heads up Intel Capital, the chipmaker's venture capital arm, said fewer people are seeking venture capital dosh.

He said that VCs are still willing to write cheques for promising technology companies, however they will do so only under terms that value the companies at less than their founders would like.

Startups' expectations may be a hangover from the heady dot.com years when people found out they could score a fortune from VCs for their innovative ideas and live the life of Reilly.

Unfortunately life is not even remotely like that post economic crash and even good ideas will not attract huge wodges of cash.

It would seem that the bright sparks are sitting on their startups until things get better. µ

There Are NO Retailer, As NO Wholesalers....

take Auto Parts, 100 year Industry. EveryWhere You Drive Theres AutoPart Store/Wholesaler, Its in DrugStore, Grocery & Probably affects life from Top to Bottom.

No Other Industry Has Such Long Lines of Distribution. Computers Have Long Lines, Just mere End Point Distribution. Each Exe IS Too Jealous & Greedy To ALLOW Industry To Flourish, So IT Wanes IN Its Peak.

Days of Iron Pipes, Breaking Three Times daily, Rust of Death & Bolts, Higgly Piggly, Represent Standards of Computing,if any.

It Costs Fortune To Deal With Public With Malvoent Toy. Let alone Costof Manufacture compared To Retail & then ?Double That? On Exact Same Model? Public HATES Being Victim To AnyOne. Management As Naivee' AS New Born COW.

of Cousrse, ITS EMPTY NEST. Its Huge MESS That NOONE Will Touch.
