How to get Microsoft to pay for your Iphone

Bing is the answer
Monday, 22 June 2009, 11:48

THE GOOD PEOPLE at Gizmodo have worked out a cunning plan to get Microsoft to pay for a heavily discounted Iphone 3GS.

Since there must be people who want an Iphone and also do not like Microsoft much, the idea of getting the Vole to pay for them to have one must be particularly delicious.

Of course it only works if you are in the US and qualify for AT&T's subsidy. But it does mean you can get your Iphone for $65.

If you're a new AT&T customer, you have to visit the ATT Wireless website and validate your email address with Premier. Open a new tab with the same browser that your ATT Premier Store is open in. Go to bing.com in the new tab and search for "att wireless".

Click the 35% CashBack Sponsored Link. Sign into your CashBack account and get redirected to the main AT&T Wireless page. In the top right enter the term "Premier" into the search bar. Click the first link that reads "at&t premier login".

You will get directed to the same Premier store you have open in the original tab and you are in the Premier store under the CashBack AT&T Site.

Existing Customers just go to Bing and search "ATT WIRELESS". If you click the AT&T sponsored link, you will be redirected to either the regular AT&T store or the Premier store.

If you log in to your account and make your purchase, the cashback will show up as "pending" after a couple of hours.

Various people have been saying that it all works. It means that Iphone 3GS users can feel doubly smug with their purchase. µ

Whoever wrote this is soooo dumb - AT&T are paying the commission to Bing and they are making out like bandit from all the muppets buying the i-Phone and paying $100 per month to use it.

SH

I pay $65 a month for 450 minutes (plus rollover), unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited data and unlimited text messages.

Who is the muppet now?

MS is simply passing on the money

MS is not paying for the iPhone, if they are giving people 35% then MS is making 45% or more. This is an affiliate margin just like fatwallet receives and passes onto people.

BillG would rather eat Steve Jobs's rancid liver than pay for an iPhone.

Guys, look who wrote this...

If you look who's the author of this article, you might not wonder about this non-sense. Just get a coffee and move on with whatever you have done before.

Misleading...

Think again. Which iPhone is available for $99? The iPhone 3G - NOT the 3GS.

35% off of $99 is.... about $65.

That doesn't mean that 35% off the higher priced 3GS $199 or $299 isn't still a nice chunk of change - just that you are NOT going to get a 3GS for $65 in this fashion.

@Luke Faichney

"...these phone you thich fuck..." (sic)

When calling someone a THICK FUCK it is generally considered bad form to misspell THICK you THICK FUCK!!!

Apologies to all for blatant trolling but this was too delicious to let pass.

DOES IT WORK??

nowhere, not in any "news" article on the entire internet is there factual reporting of someone confirming that this works! why does one blogger after another pick up this news story when it has NOT EVEN BEEN VALIDATED?! i only ask two things:

one: does this work? can any one confirm that this actually works, and can we get confirmation at different levels? such as new customer/upgrade/early upgrade purchases?

two: can you please stop printing unverified "news". it is costing people money who are too ignorant to realize that nowhere and at no time has this been verified.
