TAIWANESE MEMORY MAKER, G.Skill, has launched its triple channel memory offering, Perfect Storm DDR3 2133 CL9 6GB, touting it as the world's fastest to date.
G.Skill announced its 2000 CL7 6GB Triple channel kit three months ago, so Perfect Storm is not exactly a thunderbolt out of the blue, but it is a welcome addition nonetheless.

The offering is aimed squarely at the extreme gamers and overclocking crowd, with G.Skill boasting a frequency of 2,133MHz and lightning fast overclocking potential when used in conjunction with an Intel Core i7 platform.
To complement its newest addition to the family, G.Skill is also plugging the availability of its Turbulence Fan, which made its launch debut at Cebit back in March and was again shown off at Computex in Taipei earlier this month.
The fan, which has been tried and tested by the INQ, is actually remarkably quiet and looks good to boot, coming in both black and grey.
Here's hoping that with names like Turbulence and Perfect Storm, these latest offerings don't crash. µ
Its GOOd that Speed IS Up. Yet, On What specific Main & CPU will Play articles Memroy at FULL Speed? Maybe None. Maybe Not Even Half Way Close. So Whats POINT?
Probably AMD Phenom II Do About Same Actual Mhz/s, Cut Back Memory Speed, & that Can Only Go So Far Back & BE In Workable Parameters.
They were put through their paces at Anandtech and on average it seems that slower 1600Mhz memory with tight C7 latency gives better all round results than 2133Mhz at loose C9
You're paying a premium for the headline grabing SuperPI not real world benefits?
Dear vondrashek,
There is NO SUCH THING AS MHz/s!
M is Million and Hz = Hertz = Amplitude change PER SECOND.
So: MHz/s would be Million amplitude changes per second per second which after doing the maths would result in Million amplitude changes in no specified time = nonsense.
Thanks for your understanding and stop the nonsense please.
By the way: Those who run DDR3 @ 1066MHz even with EXTREMELY LOW LATENCIES OF 5 CLOCKS, are stoopid as it has lower throughput as DDR2 @ 800MHz CL5 because of the latency penalty of the DDR3.
