Garmin to flog its wireless phone in Asia

But not in the West
Monday, 8 June 2009, 14:09

ALTHOUGH THE INDUSTRY has been waiting to see the oft-delayed Garmin wireless phone, it appears that the company will launch it only in Asia for the foreseeable future.

According to the AP, Garmin chief operating officer Cliff Pemble told shareholders that the Nuvifone will go on sale in selected Asian markets in late June but it is not quite ready yet for sale in Europe and the US.

Punters have been interested to see what Garmin would do in a phone handset. The Nuvifone is a touch-screen smartphone with GPS onboard. µ

The littlest titmouse in the jungle

Congress couldn't get the Real ID act to put and active chip close to everyone's body. So what does the NSA do ? They develop a GPS phone so that they will know everywhere you have been and with proximity know who you have been with. Imagine the power they could wield over you by knowing your all your cummings and goings. Are you ready for a New World Order Police State where every phone tells them exactly where you are ? They have the ability to turn on the microphone even when your phone is supposedly turned off. Now they know what you are saying. Ready to be an enemy of the state... ? How easy would it be for them to lie about everything. Its only data and they control what it says. Who oversees the oversee'ers ? Who watches over them ? This is a dark road we are headed down and they are holding all the cards...
