Thu Jun 04 2009, 10:56

CISCO HAS ENTERED the financial hall of fame by being named to the list of US blue chip companies that make up the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

According to ComputerWorld, Cisco CEO John Chambers said that did not come without mixed feelings, given that the company was replacing General Motors. He said it was a tremendous honour, but very humbling.

Cisco's addition to the Dow shows the importance of networking technology to the world, he said. µ
