Will axe 30 per cent
Tuesday, 2 June 2009, 12:04

US HIGH-TECH components manufacturer Moog has said it will slash its Philipines workforce by a third, as it has been hit by the global economic downturn.

Moog has had a plant in the Philippines for nearly 25 years and the move is the first retrenchment since starting operations. Nearly 300 jobs will go.

Moog makes gear for aircraft, satellites and industrial and medical equipment, the AP said. µ
