NebuAd shuts
THE US OUTFIT Nebuad that tried to target ads to consumers based on their online behaviour is shutting its doors.
According to the AP, Nebuad is facing a court case over whether its technology infringed on the privacy of Internet surfers and mentioned that it was shutting down.
It laid off virtually all its employees in July and August last year and has closed its offices. Nebuad's ISP clients started dropping out after the US Congress held hearings last July on the technology that took a disapproving turn.
While the US company has failed, the technology is still greatly loved in the UK. A similar company called Phorm struck partnerships with BT, Virgin Media and Talktalk, three Internet access providers reaching 70 per cent of Britain's broadband market.
Despite complaints from the EU, the Blighty government thinks that the technology "can be operated in a lawful manner." But then, UK citizens have apparently gotten used to having every part of their lives watched. µ

There's no place for such technology in a democratic country, and there's no love for it in the UK.
Its mass communication surveillance, industrial espionage on an epic scale, and mass copyright infringement.
The people who welcome it are a failing and corrupt UK government, and a failing and corrupt UK media industry.
Not Sure How Good this device is. Needs Power from socket, while having USB. Takes Lan From Modem, Yet has NO Display out except usb. Mentions using second computer, so whats deal? yet its in New York times, So It Must Be Great.

This is nothing compared to all the other stuff that's been passed through of late in the UK. Intrusive deep pocket inspection which the 'government' likes. The latest 'terrorist' laws go totally against the magna carta and take away any rights you once had. Arrested and no trial! you better believe it!!! As of the other week, every child will be interviewed (more so if they have ANY disabilities) with intrusive questions to 'assist' the government with there 'agenda'.
Honestly, the list goes on and on and on.
All i can say is '1984' and call for a revolution before its too late... if it isnt already. I'm so glad i was born in a good country but it isn't no more. I am ashamed and i for one can't wait to get out of this militant state with its yellow flurecent jackets of oppression of the 'police officers' (or goverment thugs???). What happened to police men and women??? Uphold the LAW OF THE LAND (Not statute's which ARE NOT LAW UNLESS YOU AGREE TO THEM!!! i.e CONTRACT!)
man, i could go on forever, don't get me wrong, i'm glad i'm not born in the third world or anything like that and had good opportunities in life, but when you see your country going the way it is, it makes you sick! Political correctness gone MAD!
It all went wrong when we interfered with natural selection. i.e, strongest survive. Now weak/inferior/disabled/stupid/mental etc etc all survive polluting the gene pool. Im not being cruel there, just pointing the obvious. I myself have a 24 year old sister with cerebral palsy who can't see/walk/talk but the cruel fact is that life would be easier/better if it was still 'old school' and let nature decide peoples fate! Were our own worst enemy!!

Its a shame the general public are played like puppets to further there ego's. Makes us look stupid but were not, they've just had lots of practice. Must be like a computer game to them now where they have the 'walkthrough'
