Israel gives Pope micro-bible

Edited Jesus out to get it on the chip
Monday, 11 May 2009, 13:14

THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT has given former Hitler Youth member Pope Benedict XVI a copy of the Bible's Old Testament that is the size of a pin head.

The Papal equivalent of Britain's Prince Philip is in the Holy Land and our sources in the Vatican apparently have their cassocks crossed hoping that he will not manage to insult someone.

Already he forgot to take his shoes off when entering a mosque, but his chances of miffing the Israelis are much greater.

German Benedict, who is 86 you know, has angered a lot of right wing Israelis by forgiving some right wing non-Israelis who don't believe the holocaust happened quite the way they say it did.

Israeli President Shimon Peres will give him a copy of the Old Testament that local boffins have etched onto a pinhead-sized silicon chip.

The chip is placed in a glass case decked out with a magnifying glass along with technical explanations of the nano Bible in Hebrew and English and the first 13 verses of the Book of Genesis. The lens magnifies the Old Testament text 10,000 times.

The AP reports that Peres has given the gift to show how Israel's future is in nanotechnology. µ

Appropriate?

Okay, I get that Inq news articles are supposed to be witty and all, but don't you think the comment about the Pope being one of the Hitler Youth is tiny bit distasteful?

Camel Included with Needle!

Matthew 19:24

A camel was considered [maybe still is today] an unclean animal. The Camel representing the unbridled rich doing whatever they want, with whatever they want.

Sad, that all these things they do with the word or God and still reduce it's great life saving information into all sorts of trivial exercises.

The equivalent of a LAWYER hiding evidence in a mountain of other documents. And when it's out in the open they censor/deny the author of the sought documents.

What better way of doing this by putting holy writings on the head of a pin? SHAME!

@Regulas

Nothing more pathetic than the religious bigotry and "my god's better than your god" than people like you.

Face it, if you all believe in one god, it's the same frickin' god you dumbasses!

Not like Freddie Starr then.

Pope didn't eat my mitzvah claimed Rabbinical seminarian, but very quietly.

The sad truth is Phil, all the gods are different, each of them is a reflection of the conscience of the owner. And that in turn the reflection of Darwinian natural selection which created the machinations of the human ego.

Biological and cognitive individuality is the fundamental truth about the cosmos which ecclesiasts studiously avoid due to their overwhelming instinct to belong to a greater power base, which is a pity as it is from this philosophical foundation we must create a society if it is to make any sense and thereby cohere.

That is why a universal God is a psychotic delusion. Each vision of God is subjective but the pope is a subjectivity denier.

Happy now? No? Well dont blame me.

Book of Revelation 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
