BACK AT MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS in Barcelona, we caught up with Intel executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer, Sean Maloney, to find out what makes him tick.
A Brit from Lewisham, Maloney is tipped be a front-runner to replace CEO Paul Otellini, who will have to retire some time.
Maloney, 52, said he never got far with his formal education and was heading nowhere before he discovered the computer. He then became an assistant to Intel legend Andy Grove.
He currently works at Intel's Palo Alto facility and has an American wife and kids. He has indicated he may have to become a US citizen himself. We quiz him on this, on the size of his carbon footpint and more mundane stuff like the benefits of Atom to the UMPC and what he thinks Nvidia and ARM are up to.

If Sylvie counts for hot where you guys come from I'd hate to see the ugly chicks.
I'm not saying she's ugly just that she's about as plain average as it gets.
US citizenship has all the world charm and party atmosphere of a morgue.
Only topped of course by UK citizenship which has all the world charm and party atmosphere of a morgue coupled with 15% VAT.
I see that the INQ is using Sylvie's good looks (or is it her punching ability?) to get better interviews. I wonder who will be drafted to augment Sylvie on the INQ staff??
IMHO, Sylvie IS hot!
Because Intel does classified work for U.S. Government, if Sean wanted to be "in the loop" on such activities, he would have to become a U.S. citizen. Of course, it's not necessary for the CEO of a company to know what classified work they are doing, just like it's not necessary for the POTUS to know what "black" projects are being funded. It certainly isn't necessary to Congress to know, even though they approve the funding.
gsus freaking christ! she's so hot! i'd totally wanna make love to her!
