Ebay blames Canada

Nibble Shuts customer service outfit
Wednesday, 6 May 2009, 11:52

ONLINE AUCTION HOUSE Ebay will shut down its customer service operation in Vancouver, British Columbia that employs more than 700 people.

According to the AP, the closure of the Canadian facility is part of the company's plan to consolidate its North American customer service offices.

Ebay will move the affected jobs to its Salt Lake City facility and certain other offices elsewhere, by which we think it means other countries offshore where prevailing wages are lower. µ

WTF?

eBay Canada had customer service? I had to jump through hoops just to find contact information, and in the end they were less than helpful. eBay can get stuffed.

French is easy...

I wonder if it's actually possible to speak "Drashek"ian. That would be a call I'd pay to hear.
