CoolIT launches in Europe

Breaks the ice
Tuesday, 5 May 2009, 15:30

JUST A WEEK after announcing its purchase of Delphi Thermal Liquid Cooling, CoolIT has officially entered the European market today, banking on achieving the same resounding success it has enjoyed in North America.

The Cool(IT) lads from Canada, whose Domino ALC system has wowed America with its closed-loop, high temperature-withstanding system, will now be skating its way to European shelves, with Realtime Ltd already appointed exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland.

Domino

The system, with its user friendly liquid cooling capabilities, fan and LCD display has already won in excess of 40 awards, including the prestigious CES Innovation award. It has also drawn praise from AMD's usually hard-to-please senior marketing manager, Ian McNaughton.

"CoolIT has a winner on their hands with the Domino ALC," said McNaughton who went on to praise the system for being "light weight, compact and affordable". Of course McNaughton, a real life Canadian cowboy, might be a tad biased towards his northern brethren, but the INQ has actually seen Domino several times and was also suitably impressed.

"Domino is already showing signs of huge potential" gushed Richard Marsden, sales director of Realtime, the company hoping to flog CoolIT's high-end product range including its MTEC based Freezone Elite and Boreas chillers.

Price and stock details will apparently be relayed to us very soon indeed. µ

pricing is the key

So long as they don't launch it with one of the usual ludicrous mark-ups just for the privilege of us being allowed to buy it in the Euro/£ zone, I'll be very interested. If this turns into another let's charge the Europeans twice as much exercise they can forget it.

YOYOTech are the CoolIT masters

We're really pleased to be in Europe and, already, all of the major publications have realised that CoolIT with AMD is an unbeatable combination... just take the YOYOTech Water Dragon as an example of just how powerful our solutions are... http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/250613/yoyotech-water-dragon-36.html

Only problem I see is according to the link I posted above.....it shows many AIR cooling units performing better than a CoolIt liquid unit.
