Nibble It was ever thus
Friday, 1 May 2009, 12:54

ONLINE VIDEO outfit Hulu has become a Micky Mouse outfit after Disney bought up a chunk of the fast growing YouTube clone.

The Walt Disney Company joins Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. and NBC Universal at the Hulu board room table. Although Disney did not reveal the size of the stake it bought in Hulu, the AP says it picked up a third of the company.

Hulu, which offers ad-supported videos for free over the Internet, is starting to cut the ground from underneath YouTube and is widely seen as the next hot distribution channel to watch. µ

You, Hulu, not the same

Hulu is commercial studio works only. YouTube is whatever people make it. The only similarity is that there is video on the sites.

Comparing the two is frankly, dumb.

You Tube Is Detective For OwnerShip....

One thing You Tube does is put on copyrighted material. It looks private, yet it ain't. over years there are complaints to ownership & something settlement is allow free public access to copyrighted work (Charitiee' Ownership enforcement), yet owners use private appearing YouTube to comply, so you thunk its blinked.
other owners might use YouTube to appear to illegally distribute material of their own, just to see if anyone will claim ownship of Their material. which is start on whom is collecting owners Fees , in effect stolen from lawful owners in fees.

Theres NO Such intreige on hulu, its "safe" site (except ?content). You Tube could harrangue you by viewing lawful site posted by owner, yet don't. Another similar scheme might. drashek
