Google worth more than Microsoft

At least in marketing terms
Thursday, 30 April 2009, 13:22

GOOGLE IS WORTH more than Microsoft or Coca Cola, at least in terms of brand marketing.

Brandz Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands, which are calculated by consultants Millward Brown, found that Google's brand name is worth £68.5 billion while the Vole is worth only £52.2 billion.

According to the Daily Mail, Vodafone is the first UK firm to ever make the global top ten and is worth £37.8 billion. IBM is worth £45.6 billion while Apple is worth £43.2 billion.

Millward Brown chief executive Joanna Seddon said, "In the current environment brand has become even more important because it can help to sustain companies in tough times."

We have no idea how Millward Brown calculated what it thinks companies' brands are worth, as Ms Seddon didn't say. µ

1.5 minutes

Can we get Millward Brown to calculate what 0.5 minutes of someone's life is and pay the man, already?

Sheesh.

One knows going in, that it's going to take some time to read an article and that there is an inherent risk in doing so.

For how long?

I find that the more pools google dips its toe into the more people start seeing how a "do no evil" company might be doing "some evil".
