FORMER MOTOROLA CFO Paul Liska has denied thwarting an investigation by wiping files from a company laptop.

Liska sued Motorola, saying the company retaliated against him for warning that its financial projections were overly optimistic.

However, according to the AP, Motorola claimed that Liska tried to extort cash from the company. It said that before he left the company he deleted files from his company-owned laptop.

However, in a court hearing Liska said he deleted only some personal files from the laptop as work-related documents were saved on another hard drive. µ
