Yang gets $1 for services to Yahoo

You got what you paid for

YAHOO PAID former CEO Jerry Yang only $1 for all the work he did last year.

Yang was probably expecting to get a bit more in compensation and bonuses, however Yahoo's share price plummeted following his campaign to shut out Microsoft at all costs.

An AP story says Yang had settled for a token salary for years because he has gotten rich off of Yahoo's stock since cofounding the web portal in 1994.

Thanks to his own anti-Volish efforts, Yang's 3.9 percent stake in Yahoo was worth about $600 million less at the end of 2008. µ

Yawn, so lame

This is almost as lame as Steve Jobs talking about how he only gets paid "$1" as salary yet reaps in tons from stocks, etc.

Oh wait, I guess not quite as lame since at least Jobs' stocks are worth something.

Hmm...

I'm sure that whilst he only got officially "paid" $1, he got many directors benefits or something along those lines...

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.
