Bob Drebin turns up at Apple

Lots of hardware expertise lately
Mon Apr 27 2009, 17:52

IT LOOKS LIKE Apple is beefing up it's hardware expertise rather quickly. First came PASemi, now it has hired Bob Drebin, formerly of DAAMIT.

Drebin was CTO of GPG, basically ATI, at AMD until he left in January 2008. The just about a year interlude before joining Apple seems suspiciously like a non-compete / don't-sue-me hiatus. In any case, it looks like Apple has grabbed another good one. µ
