Wed Apr 22 2009, 12:19

ACCORDING TO the online search outfit Ask Jeeves, British people are looking on the net for information to weather the recession.

Cutprice retailer Primark and BBC's doom merchant Robert Peston have become the fastest growing search terms in the UK, says Ask Jeeves.

Cesar Mascaraque, Director of Ask Jeeves Europe told ITpro Portal that the net is a great barometer of what people care about. People are turning to search engines for answers to questions they would previously have asked their friends, family or the cat, he said. µ

Or it could just be Ask Jeeves getting desperate for some visibility in the press. ;-)
