More INQ TV episodes tip up

INQ TV Nvidia's dual-boot phone and Lifevibes' mobile movie making

WHEN NEIL TREVETT of Nvidia told the INQ his Tegra demo would freak people out “in a good way” we just knew it was a candidate for INQ TV.

Sadly, the “world’s first dual boot phone” wasn’t quite as freaky as we’d hoped, but with a choice start up boot option of either Windows or Android, it’s an interesting concept.

Trevett also shows off the power of Open GL ES and 3D graphics on the little touchscreen handheld to multitask on several apps concurrently.

We wonddered by NV spinner Derek Perez made us use an anti-bacterial hand lotion before we touched it. Now we know…

NEXT UP, we're a bit of a sucker for ancient tombs, lost treasures and booth babes, so at MWC when we came across a demo of NXP's LifeVibes MxMedia, with purported 'one-click' video editing capabilities and a complete Lara Croft-style setup, we just couldn't resist.

The firm says its software is capable of making "instantly personalised video, star quality stills and cool DJ sound" at the click of a button on all mobile platforms.

Shoot a bit of video, choose a pre-installed or downloaded theme and hey presto, within two minutes, you have a terribly kitschy movie to bung up on Facebook or your blog. What more could you ask for?

Ok, so the clips aren't exactly as "professional" looking as the firm would have you believe, but it's a gimmick that might keep you entertained for a few minutes. Take a look... µ
