Jeeves gets UK makeover

Jeeves

HAVING ONCE DUMPED the old duffer, Net search outfit Ask.com has resurrected butler Jeeves today, in a bid to chip away at the mighty Gurgle.

Jeeves was last seen in 2006, as the company decided to muster under the short-and-boring Ask.com banner. But baldy is now back at the beck and call of the company’s claimed 15 million UK monthly users.

The character has had a 3-D make-over and now sports a Savile Row suit and tie.

According to Cesar Mascaraque, managing director of Ask Jeeves Europe, "Jeeves brings warmth and humanity to the search experience."

He also "embodies the spirit of British resourcefulness", apparently. µ

It's no good bringing him back on his own...
They need to bring back his funny replies to questions...
