For those who like micromanaging
Fri Apr 17 2009, 16:13

GOOGLE'S new version of Chrome 2.0.174.0 now includes the exciting ability to remove thumbnails from the New Tab Page.

According to the outfit it means that a chunk of the browser which was largely sitting on its hands is able to do some interesting things. One of them is an "undo close tab" option if you accidently shut the thing down.

Google has also released a new version of Chrome to its the beta channel which has the catchy title 2.0.172.5 which fixes some of the crashes Chrome was suffering from. µ

Old feature in FF

Firefox already has a list of recently closed tabs, which I find incredibly useful. It's about time the other browsers copied this feature!

Opera had this first

Dear Ben,
Opera had tab close/reopen feature for ages, I think before FF ever had it. Opera can close/reopen whole sessions, not just individual tabs.
