Office 2010 beta not going public

Nothing for the great unwashed
Thursday, 16 April 2009, 11:13

SOFTWARE GIANT MICROSOFT has decided that it will not offer a public beta of its Office 2010 software to the peasants.

Instead Vole will limit the preview to a large group of invite-only Microsoft-friendly users starting in the third quarter of 2009.

Although the group will be large, Vole is not going to let the riff-raff in, which breaks with its traditional method of testing Office.

Microsoft has said it will ship Office 2010 for Windows in the first half of next year which will be the first time the great unwashed will get their grimy paws on it. µ

True, but with the notable exception of 2000...so not too terribly odd then.

Umm, also Office XP a.k.a Office 2002.

Even less odd.
Nice one Jeri! You really know your stuff, you should write for Wikipedia.

Not public...?

Well, when the beta will be released, expect it to make its way on torrents and other P2P networks...

yey..

just another reason we pay for the free stuff [donate to distro] and steal the non-fre stuff [m$ ___fillintheblank___] - if its any good itl be cracked. if its not good itl still be cracked. open office should still do it for me ;-)
