120HZ LCD screens were announced at CES this year, but Xbit Labs already has a review of a Samsung SM2233RZ. Smoother motion and the possibility of using goblinoid eye-ware left Oleg aching for more. Dual-link DVI mandatory, tho'.

PC Perps is testing Corsair's attempt at a cut-price SSD drive, the Corsair S128. No magic formulas, but the drive has a decent price/performance ratio.

Guru of 3D has tested OCZ's new Gladiator MAX heatpipe CPU cooler. This chip chiller is slightly less powerful than a Vendetta 2, but comes with a much cooler operation.

This GMC X7 X-Station Gaming case has plenty of gamer-friendly features, including the oddly-placed power button. The four USB ports at the front will let you plug-in plug-out all your gaming accessories in no time. OC Modshop has it.

Benchmark Reviews is looking at the connoisseur's weapon of choice for Playstation 3 gamers, the Thrustmaster Run'n'Drive wireless gamepad. This is a gaming wheel and gamepad wrapped up in one.

Trusted Reviews has a Quiet PC Ultra Quiet (sic) Xbox 360 Premium. This is Quiet PC's alternative to the noisy racket, built around the XB-01 Lian Li case and some extra padding to cut down the noise.

Think Computers has a (deep breath) SilenX iXtrema IXG-80HA2 noiseless VGA nooler w/IXG-3F2 fan kit review. This keeps your VGA quiet and cool while blowing away your hard-earned savings. Come on... $90 for this?

Hardware Logic has a straight look at Rosewill's RNX-N4 wireless N router. It seems to be rebranded D-Link kit, but Matthew couldn't be sure. Testing was a bit of a mess and he gave the kit a big thumbs-down.

More SSD goodness at Legit Reviews with Corsair's P256 SSD (MLC-based). Despite the photos it is a P (=performance) drive, although it seems to be no more than a relabeled Samsung drive. Still, it delivers 150MB/s of write performance and an average 192MB/s read.

Tom's Hardware Store is looking into the power vs. performance tradeoff when overclocking a Core i7. Patrick and Achim give you the OC'ing sweet spots for the whole family.

OCIA has a Thermaltake TMG IA1 CPU cooler in the lab. Rutledge says the kit is way too expensive for its shortcomings and, from the looks of it, we have to agree.

Notebook Review has tested the HP Pavilion dv2 notebook. It's the first to sport the AMD Neo and results show it's a medium performer with a ton of value to it.

Legit Reviews has an MSI 790GX-G65 ATX  on review, an inexpensive motherboard that suits many roles including that of gaming machine and HTPC.

TechARP is reviewing the Seagate Momentus 5400.4 SATA notebook HD. Seagate is still making up for lost time with 2.5-inch drives, and this is a significant step in the right direction. It managed to match some 3.5-inch drives.

Hardware Secrets is testing the GlacialPower GP-AL650AA 650W PSU. Despite not being a PSU company, it seems GP has done a great job with this one. 90 per cent efficiency is enough to convince us.

Anandtech is looking at Gateway's P-7808u gaming notebook. This is a Core 2 Quad with DDR3 and a 9800m GTS in a 17-inch wrapping. Overpriced like heck, you can make do by going another way. µ

Compression Dosn't Work On LCD....

Compression of Video Signal (CompFocus) Works Great On Cathode Ray Tube TV. Its technology That Made DVD So PowerFul & Game Consules, in Early 1990s'. Its just More Signal,Now In ALL CRT, Since. Thus More Scanning Lines thru Scintalated (wire) raster ( Like VGA CRTDisplay, Many Levels of ReFresh,). Heres Trouble, You've ALL Seen How Pooer 120Hzl & 200 Hzl LCD Perform Much Less than CRT & Standard LCD, Image Creeps together & Looks BAD. Its Due to Too Little signal & To Often, LCD Just Cann't Cut Thru Compressed Signal Without Falling Apart.+Crystals Just Don't Refresh in Few Nanosecond time as promised, Instead Pixels Clump. So Now You Know. STeWie Drashek
