Four new high end cases

LIAN-LI IS GETTING itself into another market: external drive cages. Should you be wanting a nice aluminum box to go with your nice aluminum case, there are now four to choose from.

The new parts, the EX-10, -20 -30 and -50, are not full on RAID boxes, but more drive cages with a little bit of intelligence to them. The internal SATA2 controller will do JBOD, RAID0 and RAID1, but that is about it. With an on-board controller, you can also do hot plugging of drives, if your RAID config allows for it of course.

All of the cages are built like a Lian-Li case, folded edges so you don't have sharp corners, and generally tank-like construction. They support from one (EX-10) to five (EX-50) drives, and will cost between $120 and $215 when they hit the shelves in June. All are lockable, and have eSATA as well as USB ports. µ

Seems that the pictures in all of Charlie's articles haven't been working recently.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
