G.Skill unveils Trident series

Jogging our memory
Tuesday, 7 April 2009, 18:23

SELF TOUTED EXTREME PERFORMANCE memory maker, G.Skill , has launched its new Triple Channel DDR3 2000HMz "Trident" series today.

Trident-500x450

With timings of CL 9-9-9-24 and designed for Intel's Core i7 processor and X58 Express Chipset, G.Skill reckons its trident is nothing to poke at, offering the kind of speeds it hopes enthusiasts, overclockers and extreme gamers will praise.

The company claims Trident's heatsink is a bit special too, mainly because whilst it manages to keep things cool literally, it also looks fairly cool, and packs extreme performance at 2GHz or more.

Speaking of memory, G.Skill uses its press release to remind us the trident series comes complete with a lifetime warranty and 'ever ready' technical back-up, too. µ

RAM

I have noticed this lately: Cooler heat sinks, and the same old ram.

Make the ram better and then you wont need fancy heat sinks.

Also Kingston ValueRam can get almost the same timings without any HS. Explain that: Quality.
