Google seen sniffing around Twitter

Fad in the pan

PWNER OF THE INTERNET, Google is rumoured to be negotiating to buy Twitter.

Michael Arrington over at TechCrunch says a couple of people "close to the negotiations" whispered that things are at an advanced stage. Later, another source said things in fact are at an early stage.

Whatever stage things are at, it does seem that there may in fact be things. Indeed, it wouldn't surprise us if Google was in fact sniffing around Twitter. It likes these faddy Interwebby things, has money to burn and may even have a cunning plan to make money out of the thing.

It'll certainly help it do what it does best - spy on us and what we get up to either om the web, or in our front gardens. µ

Where's no smoke, There's no fire

The NSA would do better to buy Loaf for a moveable feast. What is Google doing now? Ogling regulars drinking outside the Wheaties? What is Google to goggle? Strippers in badly-needed trade smirting? Determining if odour nuisances can be snuft by a special "Fag Ash" aerosol to recreate the smoking aroma? You wonder what this CCTV is doing... might give up the biscuit on Ash hole Wednesday.
