ABACO have released a PC based on Intel Atom processor that uses the Xubuntu Linux operating system for just 99 euros.
OK the Primo Abaco is not going to set any speed records. Your 99 Euro gets you the Intel Atom 230 1.6 GHz with 512MB of Ram memory. There is no hard drive other than a compact flash 4GB. Graphics are integrated into the Intel GMA 950 motherboard chipset. The basic configuration includes either an optical drive, and even keyboard and mouse, the audio speakers and monitor.

However the downside is that if you want it for less than 100 Euro you have to build it yourself or add 12.50 euro to the original price.
It is expandable and you can add memory, a hard drive, a wireless Bluetooth module and Wi-Fi, a webcam or a DVD recorder. If you want it to look like a proper computer you can stick it in a decent case and add another 74 Euro. µ
