TODAY SEES THE LAUNCH of INQ TV, a major new venture set to ignite the Internet in a frenzy of two-point-noughtishness. [You sure about this? Ed.] [Yes, of course. Ed.]
We've teamed up with Intruders tv to bring you news and views from your favourite hacks as they traverse the globe to deliver the very latest in IT happenings.
And there are a few nuggets in there that may boggle your mind. Charlie Demerjian is caught, for example, having a dignified chat with an Nvidia spokesman on the merits or otherwise of CUDA. Troublemaker Sylvie Barak is caught chatting with another Nvidian, chief PR man Derek Perez. Regular readers may be astounded!
And there's more where those came from. We'll be updating the site on a regular basis over the coming weeks, with footage from Mobile World Congress and CeBIT earlier this year, as we work through our back catalogue towards bringing you fresh news, as it happens
Intruders has built a global presence on the web, with interviews and films from events around the world. They conduct high-profile interviews, where 'experts talk to experts'
and they have that off-the-cuff approach that chimes with ours. All their stuff is about being on the inside track and ours, naturally will be about being ahead of the game.
Vincent Camara, head of content and co-founder of Intruders tv said: "Intruders tv registered over 10 million video plays, conducted over 600 interviews and have a library of over 300 hours of HD content available."
The service has just comprehensively relaunched to make use WordPress MU and an open source video player that incorporates the facility to add unlimited functionality and plug-ins.
Intruders has its own technology channel, which you might like to check out, but first you'll probably want to click here. µ

After seeing the video of Charlie, so much is explained. I no longer dislike his anti nvidia articles. Just look at him, he fits the stereotypical image of some middle aged guy who lives in his parents basement. My dislike for him has turned into pity.
I'm just so tired of you guys critiquing (and this time even trying to hurt) Charlie. Man, if you don't like what he writes, just go to another website, and let the rest of us in peace.
I am tired of reading of such biased articles that's why I don't read his articles anymore. It also degrades the reputation of the inquirer. After you see his video you would be cold hearted to hurt poor Charile. I pity him.
These comments are expected I think, if not why don't they censor them? I think this is what makes the inquirer what it is. It's the site people love to hate, and bitch about.
You might not like bias in Charlie's articles, but it's there for a reason and he is not being unfair.
Knowing Charlie personally, I can tell you that he is far more intelligent than you could even guess, does NOT live in his Mom's basement (or even in the same state), and may be still mourning the loss of his beloved Corvette (the Segway(sp?) was just a side fling no?).
In a way, working at the INQ. and seeing the comments on his articles, is just an ironic extension of his college degree.
And if you knew him, you would get that joke...
Do you suppose Charlie could sue the Inquirer for these comments? Oh wait. The Inquirer isn't based out of America, nevermind.
I'm one of Charlie's biggest critics, but I've conversed a few times through email and I can say without error that he is highly intelligent. The issues he has with Nvidia come mostly from the way Nvidia has treated the tech press and the Inqirer in the past through NDA's and other crap throughout the years. They brought it on themselves but I still think his biased reporting should be relegated to op-ed's as standard reporting should be unbiased.
Next time be sure to JV with someone who has audio.
Nice videos, but they really are MUCH TOO short! Longer vids' please guys.
Finally! A channel with as much bias as Fox News.
It's nothing to do with Charlie's intelligence, and I don't think many people attacked him directly about that. It's more how biased he is, there are many companies with faults in their products and these faults deserve to be publicized. Nvidia is no different then any other company. These companies are in the business to make money anyway they can. While their tactics and ethics are questionable, they will still do whatever it takes to turn a profit or minimize damage. Take the famous xbox 360 RRoD as an example.
Rather it's Charlie's appearance that I find comical. His appearance fits a stereo typical profile as described above. I think it's Charlie's lack of professionalism which really sets him apart.
His articles are there for a reason, it's the same reason why the news mostly focuses on negative stories. ;)
I don't know who you are but leave charlie alone, what has he ever done to you. You can't take the fact that charlie is always right. Go get a life!
His articles are interesting and worth reading, and usually generate lots of user comments.
His anti-nvidia stance might annoy some fanbois but he is basing it on experience and facts.
Do you really want The Inq to be just another sanitized "yes men" magazine? I hate "yes men" publications who lick arse and screw us over by going along with the bullshit.
Remember what the Knight Foundation taught us "One man can make a difference."
(Michael Knight, KITT, heh heh)
Keep up the good work Charlie.
I like to know the know the truth about Corporations because they will never tell you the truth themselves! It's people like Charlie and the INQ that expose them for our benefit. Keep up the good work Charlie and INQ !
I refuse to watch these videos on the grounds that they are likely to be as good as the INQ Podcast was, and it WAS awesome- and then suddenly go away just like the podcast did.
Cheat me once, OK. But not twice. I refuse to play along.
You know about nvidia, there is still Panasonic and their faulty lenses on projectors which they covered up, Samsung and their lcds which would shut down randomly, Sharp and their banding on their LCDs, Seagate and their firmware issues on the 1.5TB hd. ATI and issues with power regulation, Microsoft 360 RRoD, and scratched discs. The list keeps going please Charlie expose them. BTW I own a ati card, it's not fanboyism it's which card is the fastest at the time I buy.
I can't take the Charlie haters. Nvidia deserves it. ATI has always put their customers first and never treated them like crap. I think everyone would be better off with nvidia going bankrupt. We only need one video card manufacture.
Needs more Sylvie... the less towel the better.
Well I don't like Charlie OR nVidia.
