AN EXECUTIVE for the outfit which sounds like a sneeze, Hitachi, will face trial over claims that he conspired with others to fix the price of LCD screens.

The court case will decide if Sakae Someya fixed the price of the panels sold to Dell for notebook PCs between January 2001 through December 2004. He could be fined a million bucks and face a decade inside.

So far eight people have been arrested in the case representing four different outfits. The Justice Department has squeezed more than $585 million in fines from the different companies involved including LG, Sharp, and Chunghwa Picture Tubes. µ
