Microsoft drops WinMo developer update charge

SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft has retreated from a cunning plan to charge Windows Mobile developers $99 for submitting even minor updates to their applications.

Microsoft warned that when its onto the Windows Marketplace for Mobile application store gets off the ground, developers would be charged $99 for updates.

Now, according to CNET, the Vole has woken up to the fact that there is a lot of competition and developers might just tell it to go forth and multiply and not develop anything for Microsoft's store. µ
