Toshiba, Sharp mull solar alliance

TOSHIBA and Sharp are chatting about a possible alliance to peddle solar power generating hardware.

Sharp wants to enhance its solar business further and has opened up talks with 'a number' of other high tech outfits. Tosh needs a supply source of solar or photovoltaic cell panels and Sharp wants to make them.

Tosh has contacts in the power station business so a tie-up could mean quids in for both. µ
