Boxee overhauls API

For Macs and Linux
Wednesday, 25 March 2009, 09:10

DIGITAL MEDIA OUTFIT for Open saucers and Apple users, Boxee has announced that it has a new API.

The telly-in-a-browser maker, which still only looks after Mac and Linux users, has changed its API only three weeks after it launched. The big idea is that it will allow developers to come up with more complex software for the platform.

Streaming-radio provider Pandora been roped in along with terrestrial-radio hub RadioTime.

Boxee hopes that it can now detect a video in a regular Web page and then attempt to pull it into a full-screen view, which means it can access Hulu. µ
