VOLE AND LEXMARK have been giving each other spring birthday pressies in the form of shedloads of patents.
A deal involving cross-licensing agreement, over a broad range of products, covers Lexmark printers and multifunction products, and Volish software.
It seems that the pair think that they will both benefit by saving cash on R&D, which, in times like these, is something they don't want to spend too much money on. µ

About Oct 2007 Bought Lexmark Printer that Clearly Stated xp & Vista Capable, Tried it on Ultimate 32 & NO Way. It Wouldn't even Consider Vista. tried NewsGroups & Turns Out NONE of LEXMARK Printers Would do Vista, Even Though Printed on Box, Vista Capable. That Printer got thrown away. $30 down Hatch, Turn Keel & to Bottom Of Ocean. I Have NEVER Had Reliable LEXMARK, scanner/copier,fax Printer that worked correctly, even on xp. So it figures Lexmark Really Needs some Serious Help. STeWie drashek
Hey, your headline is like a nice funny 1950s racist cartoon. Nothing like making fun of the genocide of some 12 million people. There were 12 million Americans in North America before the Europeans showed up. By 1900, there were 237,000. Maybe we should have some holocaust jokes too for fun.
ROFL! If you didn't intend that comment to be a Dave Chappelle comedy rant, you failed when i read it.
Hilarious! :D
Cheers,
John
This is funny, Lexmark makes absolute crap and Vista is absolute crap. So now the two are pairing up? Are they looking to destroy printing as we know it?

i havent encountered a decent lexmark yet. they cost more to refill than to buy new which makes the printers themselves disposable. i bet there are countless lexmarks occupying landfill sites the world over. i wonder how long it takes them to bio-degrade - never? lexmark are scum for creating lots of useless plastic to fill up waste sites. they should shut up shop and get a paper round or something.
I had two Lexmark printers and unless I used it everyday, the ink cartridge would dry up and stop printing. No way to fix except buy new cartridge. Switched to HP and I can let my printer set for months between perfect prints. MS has been doing a better job with hardware peripherals than with software, so maybe they can pull Lexmark out of the crap heap. Probably just fall in with 'em though.
